Steadfast is taking over management of Summerville Apartments in South Carolina in partnership with Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners.
The assignment follows our recent management takeover at Harbour Lake in Charleston and points to a larger opportunity in giving life to challenged apartment assets through our experience in the affordable space. In these living situations, value comes from strong execution after takeover. The team has to stabilize the property, work with the lender, rebuild operating rhythm, and keep resident demand intact.
Summerville also fits the naturally occurring affordable housing conversation, where demand can be durable, but performance has to be earned.
